DID YOU KNOW: Today is National Dictionary Day to commemorate the birthday of Noah Webster. In 1807 Webster began compiling an expanded and fully comprehensive dictionary, An American Dictionary of the English Language; it took twenty-seven years to complete. To evaluate the origin of words, Webster learned twenty-six languages. He published his dictionary in 1828 at the age of seventy; it sold 2500 copies. Celebrate National Dictionary Day by learning some new words, or playing a game of Scrabble or Words with Friends!

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:  Today is the final day for taking donations for Step it Up!  Remember, it’s all done on line, so make sure your friends and family have visited the website.
