CHS Robotics Teams Earns CREATE AWARD in 2019 Vex State Championship!


On March 2nd, the Robotics team participated in the 2019 Vex Robotics state championship. The VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, is the largest and fastest growing middle school and high school robotics program globally with more than 20,000 teams from 50 countries playing in over 1,700 competitions worldwide.

Each year, an exciting engineering challenge is presented in the form of a game. Students, with guidance from their teachers and mentors, build innovative robots and compete year-round.

CHS ended the tournament 4-3 with an overall ranking of 10th in the state and were quarter finalists. In addition to their great run, they were announced the 2019 Create Award winners for their unique design of using pneumatics to shoot 2 projectiles at once.
