LVUSD Mask Update

LVUSD will be mask-optional starting next Monday, March 14th.  The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) announced that as of March 11, masks will no longer be required in K-12 schools, but added that masks remain recommended.  We understand that many of our staff and students will continue to wear masks while indoors at school.  We strongly encourage everyone to respect and support the personal choice of others.

LVUSD will continue to focus on the mitigation strategies we are all familiar with, including staff and student vaccination and booster shots; regular testing opportunities for students, staff and their families; self-screening for symptoms; and pre-existing ventilation systems.

We understand that COVID-19 is not going away; therefore, the District will continue to be ready with the resources, supplies, and appropriate PPE to quickly respond to any changes or adaptations that come from our partners at the LACDPH.

We anticipate that the coming weeks will be a time of transition that may impact us all differently, given our home circumstances and safety preferences. As we continue to move forward, please respect and support each other as we all navigate these changes.
