New Student Enrollment - ENROLLMENT, HONORS TESTING, GATE TESTING & CAMP SPARTY INFORMATION
For parents enrolling their student(s) at AE Wright (and live within the AE Wright boundary) for the 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR:
If your child DOES NOT CURRENTLY ATTEND an LVUSD school, you will need to:
(STEP 1) Click HERE to begin ONLINE ENROLLMENT. ONLINE ENROLLMENT MUST BE SUBMITTED AND COMPLETED BEFORE YOU CAN MOVE ON TO STEP 2.
(STEP 2) After the online enrollment is complete, you will receive an email stating that we are "Awaiting Forms". You will need to bring the required forms and documents listed below to the AE Wright Counseling Office on one of our Enrollment Days. Click HERE to RSVP for one of our Enrollment Days. At this time we only have August 9th at 8:30 am available. Your child will need to accompany you on the Enrollment Day, as students will take a Math Placement Test at that time. You can park in the front loop of the school if there is space, or in the District Office parking lot next door. Enter the school through the Main Office and you will be directed where to wait.
REQUIRED FORMS/DOCUMENTS TO BRING ON ENROLLMENT DAY:
* Proofs of Residence (required for Residents and those on a School of Choice Permit. NOT REQUIRED for those on an Interdistrict Permit):
One (1) of these: Property tax bill, Mortgage statement, or Signed Lease Agreement
Two (2) utility bills: water, gas, and electric bills are the only utilities we accept.
THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS:
* Student's Birth Certificate or Passport
* Immunization Records
* Parent's Driver's License or Picture ID
* Latest Report Card/ State Testing Results (if available)
You will NOT need to enroll online or bring your child to AE Wright to enroll. Your child will automatically be enrolled in their assigned middle school. Contact your Elementary School office staff to confirm at which middle school your child will automatically be enrolled. If you would like to apply for a different middle school within LVUSD, you must complete a School of Choice permit HERE.
In addition to the mandatory Math Placement Test, there are optional GATE and Honors Tests available. You must have completed Online Enrollment (Step 1 above) before your child can test for GATE or Honors classes.
All GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) testing occurs at the LVUSD District Office. More information about GATE can be found on the AE Wright GATE page and the LVUSD GATE page. To sign your child up for GATE testing, click the GATE Online Application Form link. Please contact Veronica Esqueda at firstname.lastname@example.org or (818) 878-5280 for more information regarding GATE Testing.
Students can take Honors Tests for Language Arts, Social Science, or both. More information about Honors Testing, including all dates and locations, can be found on the LVUSD Honors page. NO RSVP IS NEEDED FOR THE JUNE AND AUGUST TESTING DATES. Parents, please bring copies of the student's last report card and latest state testing results with you on the testing day.
