LVUSD COMMUNITY 360 PODCAST
The Community 360 Podcast has surpassed 6000 total downloads! On this week's Podcast, our Counseling Cornerteam of Melissa Gillespie and Evan Simmons talk about anxiety: what it looks like, coping skills to practice and use, and how to support someone you love who has chronic anxiety. You can listen to the podcast via iTunes (search for LVUSD 360 Podcast) or via Soundcloud at soundcloud.com/community360.
NEW EVENT: E-CIGARETTE, VAPING, AND ADDICTION COMMUNITY PRESENTATION
The Las Virgenes Unified School District is adding a December 17th evening presentation at the Agoura High School PAEC focussing on the rise of vaping, e-Cigarette, and addiction issues in the greater community. Since receiving a Proposition 56 Tobacco Grant this past Spring, LVUSD is growing as a regional leader in providing community education around this important issue. Please plan on attending to learn about the discrete nature of these devices, the targeted marketing to minors, and the health and addiction risks associated with their use.
