Recommendations for Families while Students are Home

Dear LVUSD Families, I hope that this message finds you doing well as we prepare for significant changes in our daily lives. Maintaining some sense of community is going to become critically important in the days and weeks ahead for all of our wellbeing. The entire LVUSD team is hard at work creating plans and resources for your children and you. We’ll have much more information in the coming days. Important Message - March 13, 2020

Dear Families, Thank you for your continued patience, flexibility, and kindness as we enter this uncharted territory together. After extensive conversations with the Board of Education and state and local health officials during the past 24 hours, we have made the decision, out of an abundance of caution, and concern for the health and well-being of our students, staff, and our entire broader community, to close our school facilities for a minimum of two weeks beginning Monday, March 16 and lasting through through March 27th.

Important COVID-19 Update - March 12, 2020

Dear Parents, As I shared in my communication yesterday, the Board of Education and I, along with the entire district leadership, are actively monitoring the fluid nature of the coronavirus outbreak across the United States and more specifically here in California. While there are no active cases of COVID-19 in LVUSD, we want to do our part in limiting contact and stopping the spread of the virus in the coming days. Given this, LVUSD is deploying plans to ensure our community is both prepared for the likelihood of long-term disruption and is protected from the virus.

Round Meadow is a Gold Ribbon School!

The California Gold Ribbon Schools Award was created to honor schools that have made tremendous gains in implementing State Board policies and their Local Control Accountability Plan. Model programs and practices include standards-based activities, projects, strategies, and practices that schools have adopted during this transitional period, which can be replicated by other local educational agencies. Round Meadow was found to demonstrate excellent educational quality with the implementation of academic content and performance standards adopted by the State Board of Education for all pupils, including English learners.
