    ATTENTION 8th GRADERS: All 8th grade boys and girls are invited to try out for the A. C. Stelle Intramural Soccer Team.  We will compete against Lindero Canyon Middle School and A. E. Wright after school on Dec. 12th and Jan. 9th.  Try outs are at lunch next week on Wednesday & Thursday.  Bring your cleats and meet up on the upper field at 12:00.

    ALSO, 8th GRADERS: If you’re on a team for the Turkey Bowl, make sure you turn in your permission slip to the AP office by the end of the day today, or you won’t be allowed to play. 

    ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Don’t forget to join us on the field at lunch on Tuesday for the Turkey Bowl.  Watch the 8th graders go up against some of your favorite teachers and staff. Lunch will be extended through SSR.

    REMINDER, STUDENTS: In observance of Veterans’ Day, there will be no school on Monday.

    ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Homerooms, don't forget to decorate your pig. All pigs should be turned in to the main office by the end of period 1 this morning, for the race at lunchtime. Plus, today is also another Homeroom contest. Did you wear your class spirit or class color today? Make sure you get your class count turned in before 9:00 and help your homeroom class earn a trip to the beach! Then join us at lunch for the Pig Races and cheer on your pig!!

    ALSO, STUDENTS: Every year, A. C. Stelle students donate their extra Halloween candy to Operation Gratitude, which gets the donated candy to men and women serving in the armed forces overseas. If you have extra candy from your trick-or-treating last night, or candy your family didn’t hand out, please consider donating it for this worthy cause.     FINALLY, STUDENTS: A nutrition fact by Eagles' Cafe':  Did you know that persimmons are native to China and are known as the “Apple of the Orient”? This bright orange fruit is technically not a fruit, but a large, round succulent berry with a thin and smooth peel. The pulp inside is soft and creamy and has a sweet honey like flavor. Though small in size, persimmons are packed with an impressive amount of nutrients. In fact, persimmons are a good source of vitamins B1 and B2, folate, magnesium and phosphorus.

    FINALLY, STUDENTS: Speaking of Halloween, please remember that you are welcome to wear a costume tomorrow, but it must conform to the general school dress code. No bare feet or open-toed sandals; no weapons (real or fake), sharp objects or props; no hairspray or paints applied on campus; your costume must not affect your ability to dress for PE -- you must dress out! No masks; your costume may not cause a classroom disruption; no derogatory, slang, vulgar terms, etc. used on or in your costume.

Then join us at Eagle Stage today at lunch for more fun and pictures. Plus, if you still have your Red Ribbon bracelet on, come to the Eagle Stage today for a prize!

    ALSO, STUDENTS: Please remember to lock up all of your valuables in the locker before going to PE. This means that if your backpack does not fit, take out any valuable items, such as a wallet and/or cellphone, and lock them in the locker properly. It is also recommended that you not bring large quantities of money to school with you.

We’re having a contest to choose the best one, and it’s not too late to submit your design.  Make sure your design follows all the rules, then bring it to the AP office by the end of the day this Friday. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Smith’s office.

    ALSO, STUDENTS: A nutrition fact by Eagles' Cafe': Did you know that pears pack a nutritional punch? A medium sized pear is a nutrient-dense food that contains only 100 calories, and is fat free. A nutrient-dense food is any food that provides vital nutrients (such as vitamins and minerals), but relatively few calories. Nutrient-dense foods are also usually higher in fiber and water, components that tend to make us feel full faster and for longer.

    AND, STUDENTS: Please remember to lock up all of your valuables in the locker before going to PE.     FINALLY, STUDENTS: A nutrition fact by Eagle's Cafe': Did you know that cherry tomatoes come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors, including red, yellow, orange, white, pink and black? These small tomatoes often have a sweeter taste than full-size tomatoes and are an excellent source vitamin C, biotin and vitamin K.

    ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Tonight is restaurant night at The Stand in Calabasas.  This is a delicious way to raise money for A. C. Stelle. A portion of the proceeds will come to our school.

    FINALLY, STUDENTS: This is an important reminder about the school day tomorrow, and the PSAT testing that will potentially impact everyone on campus. Eighth graders, you received a letter last week telling you what room number you should report to tomorrow morning; sixth and seventh graders, you will be told today by each of your teachers where you should report tomorrow. Most of you will not change, but please make a note of each period class location as you go through your day today. Students of all grades should report tomorrow for first period in the class they get assigned to today.

Turn-in will happen at lunch, and everyone who turns in their ticket will get their prizes, but you MUST be in two, single-file lines. The more orderly lines you create, the quicker everyone will get their prizes!
