    CIJI Kristine Foundation needs volunteers. 100% of all proceeds support their free online community for education and resources for suicide, mental health and addiction.     The Leonis Adobe Museum  has a service learning opportunity for this summer. They will be hosting their Lil Ranchers Summer Days on July 9, 16, 23, 30 & August 6, 13, 2019 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  It is outdoors and they will assisting children with activities around the adobe.     The Teen VIP Program needs volunteers.  Join the Teen VIP Program for the 2019 Summer session and earn service learning hours.  Applications will be available starting  March 1, 2019 at the  Agoura Hills Rec Center or go to www.agourahillsrec.org

    The iHomeworkClub at Willow Elementary will resume this school year beginning on 9/27/18 through June 2019.

    Gateway Church offers a  Summer Day Camp from July 8-12, 2019. Students will receive 45 hours of service learning.  Students will work with ages K-8th grade from 8am-5pm M-F.  Volunteers must have completed 9th grade.  Sign up at winshapecamps.org/volunteer  There are also several community events.  They serve Agoura and the surrounding area.  Varying hours, responsibilities. Always revolving around families and children.  Minimum 2 hours of service time.

     Motion Picture and Television Fund -MPTF-  is looking for volunteers, 14 years and older who have a positive and compassionate attitude and enjoy working with seniors. You will be working along with the Activities Department helping the residents with some of the following activities but not limited to: escorting the residents to the dining room for meals, church services, pet visits and lots more.      Leisure Living is a small assisted living facility for the elderly in Agoura and would love students to spend time with the seniors  and help with art, poetry, technology and music.     Many Mansions is a nonprofit in Thousand Oaks that  provides permanent and supportive housing for low-income families, the chronically homeless and any individual with disabilities (both mental and or physical). Besides housing they also offer Adult Services and Children Services.     My Kaleidoscope Project strives to provide girls (grades 5 - 9) with the resources and support necessary to succeed in times of stress, pressure, changes and media.  Opportunities for personal growth, mentoring and relationship building are prioritized in all Project efforts.  Girls that participate in Kaleidoscope gain self- esteem, confidence, coping mechanisms, tools for success and a close group of friends and support.  They need high school students.  Please contact them at www.mykaleidoscopeproject.org

    The City of Westlake has an ongoing service learning opportunity--digitizing historical archives. Help is needed Monday- Friday during City Hall hours.  Volunteers will be trained to access and scan through articles and publications to add to a digital archive.     The Friendship Circle addresses children with special needs which includes children with Down’s syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, etc.  The Friendship Circle addresses these challenges in a way the celebrates their uniqueness and individuality.  By integrating the wisdom of professionals and the energetic spirit of teenagers, the Friendship Circle brings out the best from within all those involved.  It has been found that through the gift of friendship, the young volunteers are able to reach the children in ways that most forms of therapy cannot.      Teen Coalition Committee 2017-18--Are you a high school student in Agoura Hills or a neighboring city who wants to make a difference in your community?  Apply for the opportunity to serve on this advisory committee and give a voice to the youth of Agoura Hills. Not only will you provide service to the community, you will also develop personal leadership skills. Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month and meet at the Agoura Hills Recreation and Event Center (29900 Ladyface Court) to develop projects for teens.     Assisteens is an auxiliary of Assistance League of Conejo Valley. This organization supports philanthropic programs and activities in the Conejo Valley.  Sign up to be a member.  They meet 1x a month from September- May and each member is required to complete 20 hours of community service hours per year.  Assisteens help with the Shelter Hope Pet Shop and The Samaritan Center and the Cancer Care Community.  They are accepting applications for the 2017-18 membership.  Please contact Marilyn Adam at marilynaadam@gmail.com

    Adopt me Rescue-- always needs students to help with pet adoptions at the Petco in Woodland Hills on Topanga Blvd. and Ventura Blvd. every Saturday from 12:00noon - 4:00pm.  Please contact Laura Dash at 818-732-0733.
