Universal Themes and Generalizations help students see and make connections between, within, and across disciplines…to make meaning out of what might initially seem disconnected information. These are the “big ideas” that connect and make sense of all learning.
Our goal is to provide students with opportunities to think critically and make connections in real world situations. Across the campus, we have a universal theme each month. Individual classrooms are encouraged to ongoing discussions and dialogue about each of the themes.

Within our Study Buddy program, classes are paired up and experience activities that are tied to each of the monthly themes. Not only does this allow older and younger students to interact, but gives them meaningful interactions, with a much higher level of thinking involved.
