Mrs. Davenport was an elementary classroom teacher in the heart of the San Fernando Valley for almost 20 years before becoming the Magnet Coordinator, then Principal, at one of the highest performing public elementary schools in the state. In 2018, she became the founding Administrative Director for a new campus that served TK-8th grade students. Under her leadership, the schools she has worked with have reached record-setting heights in academic performance. Mrs. Davenport is known for her commitment to student-centered priorities, high expectations for all, and creating school climates where students, staff, and families enjoy a deep sense of community and belonging.

Mrs. Davenport earned her B.A. Sociology, Masters in Education, and teaching credential from UCLA. As the Director of Elementary Education for the LVUSD, she ensures that every elementary school in our district is delivering a high-quality educational program in a safe, supportive learning environment.

It is the mission of the Educational Services Department to support student achievement to develop successful learners who are prepared for the world of higher education and work in the 21st century. We support the goals of the Board of Education and the Superintendent for continued academic excellence from a staff that receives professional development in current best instructional practices in a rapidly changing world. Our mission is to use data-driven decision-making and a continual review of our research-based initiatives to support achievement for all students in Las Virgenes.  Our philosophy is based on the premise that Professional Learning Communities involving all stakeholders -- students, teachers, parents, administrators, and community -- can best determine the support needed to promote student success.
