TAN FESTIVAL

  • TAN Festival 2017

From mid April 2017 until May 26, 2017 our sixth grade students will work on California Standards and Common Core State Standards-based, Then and Now (T.A.N.) Festival projects in their social studies classes. Each student will research in detail the ancient civilizations that greatly influenced the western world (Rome, Greece, and China). By studying the political, social, and economic systems of each civilization, the students will have a deeper understanding our modern world.

The T.A.N. Festival is a unique and exciting vehicle through which your child can learn a vast amount of information and can develop many important skills. Parents can help by encouraging their child to work responsibly, by monitoring their child’s progress toward completion of assignments, and by offering advice.

Students will be working in triads, and we encourage all parents to visit the T.A.N. Festival on Friday, May 26, 2017.
