Electives Classes

  • Welcome to the Electives Department!  At A.E. Wright Middle School students have the opportunity to experience a variety of electives, including art, computer graphics, music, and multimedia activities.


    COMPUTER GRAPHICS (For 7th and 8th Grade Only):

    If you love to draw and love creating with computers, then Computer Graphics is the course for you. This class focuses on learning drawing skills and provides exposure to a variety of digital media techniques as well as keyboarding and programs including design, painting, photography, stop motion photography, animations, and much more! This will all be done using a variety of computer software including Photoshop, Frames, iMovie, and iPhoto. Materials cost for take-home projects: $10.00 (Year Long Class)


    ADVANCED COMPUTERS (For 8th Grade Only):
    Advanced digital media is a project based multi-media class that uses industry standard software. In this year-long class, students will work both in teams and individually to create claymations, family documentaries, public service announcements, and much more! At the end of the year, you will be amazed at the quality of your digital creations. If you’ve already taken Computer Graphics and want to continue developing your digital skills, this is the class for you! Prerequisite: Computer Graphics, maintained an “O” or “S” in citizenship and work habits, and/or with instructor’s permission.  (Year Long Class)
