Dear A.E. Wright Community,
It is a pleasure to introduce myself to you! I am overcome with pride at the opportunity to lead the Wright community. My wife is an LVUSD alum and we have long dreamt of sending our own children here.
I began my teaching experience in a Special Education LAUSD classroom, where I taught English and History in a high school setting. I have coached sports, both girls and boys, including soccer, track and football. I became a Coordinator for testing, bussing and student information, after which I promoted to an Assistant Principal at Westchester High School and helped the school convert into three thematic magnets, including a gifted magnet. Most recently, I served Santa Monica High School, where I was a House Principal, supporting a small 800-student school inside a larger comprehensive school of 3200 students.
Before entering education, I studied Political Science at the University of Chicago, where I received my B.A. I earned an M.A. in Education and a teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University, with an emphasis in Special Education. I attended UCLA’s Principal Leadership Institute, for an M.Ed. in Education Leadership and a credential in Education Administration. Finally, I completed my Tier II credential through UC Berkeley’s Leadership Support Program.
Know that here at A.E. Wright the tireless dedication of our staff and the support of our community endures. I welcome the opportunity to connect with you and wish you and your family a positive and enriching experience here at A.E. Wright.
