Transition Partnership Program (TPP)
A Transitional Partnership Program
Creating Pathways to Lifelong Learning
The Transition Partnership Program (TPP) was implemented in 1992, when LVUSD partnered with the Department of Rehabilitation and Project Workabilbity I to create a program designed to promote the employability of Special Education students. TPP’s mission is to help students move from school to a quality adult life. The program provides assessments, pre-employment skills training, career exploration, job placement assistance, work site monitoring, supervision and post secondary employment follow up for select students with special needs.
The LVUSD TPP team consists of District Liaison, Angie Falk; Transition Coordinator, Denise Edwards, and Transition Specialists , Kimberly Cochran, Michele Ramirez, and Tristin Dillon. LVUSD’s TPP is one of the most successful in the state, with 78% of students successfully completing their job experiences. Teachers, counselors, or staff members are able to refer students to the program in February of students' 10th grade year.
