LVUSD Hiring FAQ

Please click on Employment Opportunities under the Human Resources Department.  The direct link to apply for positions on EdJoin is https://www.edjoin.org/lvusd.  Applications for each of the open positions are included on the EdJoin platform.  The applications include information on what necessary documentation is required to apply.  

The job postings on EdJoin include the job descriptions for each open position.  The Job Descriptions include responsibilities of the job as well as the minimum requirements.  Salary information is also included on the job posting.

Classified examinations are facilitated on Thursdays at 9:00 AM at the LVUSD District Office located at 4111 Las Virgenes Rd. Calabasas, CA.  Please ensure that you have registered for a classified examination ahead of time and that you arrive on time on your scheduled date. 

Applicants may register here to take a classified examination.  Please contact Ms. Lara Evangelista with questions at levangelista@lvusd.org regarding classified examinations. 

The best way to prepare for a classified examination is to review the Job Description that is included on the application for a specific position.  Study the material which you feel would directly or indirectly relate to the necessary knowledge, skills or abilities that are included on the Job Description.   A study guide is available for Instructional Assistant/Paraeducator classified examinations.  Please call the Human Resources Department at 818-878-5260 or email Lara Evangelista levangelista@lvusd.org to arrange to pick-up a copy of the Instructional Assistant/Paraeducator study guide from the LVUSD District Office. 

An email will be sent to all applicants notifying them on whether or not they have passed a specific classified examination.

If an applicant does not pass the classified examination for a specific position they are eligible to retake the position after 31 calendar days. 

An applicant may apply for any number of open positions.

An applicant may reapply for an open position at any time.   

The Human Resources team looks for complete applications with all the necessary documentation uploaded.  Documentation may include: recent letters of recommendation, resumes and/or cover letters.  Specific information for what is required will be included on the application.  The team also looks for relevant experience.
