Service learning is the modern version of “community service”. Service Learning is a graduation requirement that allows student the opportunity to engage with the local and even global community. The Las Virgenes Unified School District believes giving back to and learn from the community is an important part of a child’s educational and emotional development. Attention Students! Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks are good times to make up hours for Service Learning! Hours are not technically due till May and June (see flyer or website for due dates) but you should NOT wait to get them in! Turn in your hours asap in the counseling office. Check Aeries or come see Ms. Kay in the counseling office to check how many hours you need to do by the deadline.
