New this year! Calabasas High School (CHS) is excited to be hosting the first annual Service Learning Fair on Wednesday, November 8 from 10:17 am to 10:41 am on the CHS campus. Our Service Learning Fair is a fantastic opportunity for your non-profit organization to connect with our students. Every CHS student is required to volunteer fifteen hours a year with non-profits in service to their community. Space is limited to ten non-profits with two representatives from each organization. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and informational materials for our students.
Dear CHS Community, Today, during homeroom, we began our schoolwide 21 Days of Gratitude. Gratitude has been shown to reduce the negative effect of stress, improve sleep, and cultivate positive emotions. We would love it if they shared what they are writing through social media by using the hashtag #CHS21DaysofGratitude and #calabasashs (share as public post so that it can be re-posted). Today, I am grateful to be a part of the CHS community. Have a great week. Mrs. Foss
Service learning is the modern version of “community service”. Service Learning is a graduation requirement that allows student the opportunity to engage with the local and even global community. The Las Virgenes Unified School District believes giving back to and learn from the community is an important part of a child’s educational and emotional development.
