• 6th Grade WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Orientation Information

     Dear 6th Grade Families:

We are excited your child will be attending Lindero Canyon Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year.  Our school participates in the nationwide program entitled Where Everybody Belongs (WEB). The mission is to assist sixth-grade students to find comfort and success in their first year of middle school.  WEB allows 6th graders to have a 7th or 8th-grade mentor to help them through their first year of middle school. This WEB Mentor/Leader is a responsible student, role model and positive leader hand selected from a large pool of student applicants. For further information about the WEB program, please visit www.boomerangproject.com.

WEB starts off the school year with a fun-filled, educational orientation day welcoming our 6th-grade class.  Please note that WEB Orientation is in addition to our Annual Registration Day and for 6th graders only.

    • Annual Registration--Thursday, August 13th (times to arrive will be provided over the summer)
    • WEB Orientation--TBD (generally the Friday after registration)

Your child will get a special welcome by our staff and our WEB Leadership team.  Students will meet their mentor/leader and participate in various games and activities.  The students also get a complete tour of the school and will have the opportunity to ask questions about middle school life. Your students will leave the WEB orientation with information and strategies that will help them be successful in middle school and they will meet people they will see all year.

In May your child will receive an invitation to the WEB Orientation providing the details, time, and location of the event. An RSVP link will be part of your registration in Aeries in July.

We look forward to meeting your students on WEB Orientation day!
