STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math):

Our classes offer exploratory experiences in design and modeling, image manipulation and robotics. The sixth grade class is part of an exploratory rotation. Students spend about 10 weeks in STEAM, art, computers and world languages. Exploratory STEAM introduces website design using Google Sites, design and modeling using SketchUp and introduces building with VEX Robotics and programming using Robot C.

We also offer a 7th & 8th grade Robotics elective for the entire year. This is a project-based learning class. Students will work on design and modeling using SketchUp and Autodesk Inventor, building robots using VEX robotics and then programming their robots using Robot C, designing and building a Google Site as an electronic portfolio for STEAM projects, introductory programming using Mindcraft, and image manipulation using pixlr and GIMP.
