Learning takes precedence over ever other activity at Lindero Canyon Middle School. In order to maintain a campus that is conducive to learning, the following general rules of conduct are to be followed at all times and are in place to support this mission of learning. BICYCLES AND SKATEBOARDS: Students who ride bicycles and skateboards to school must secure them with a lock in the bike rack area during school hours. All items brought to school are at the owners' risk. The school does not assume responsibility for stolen or damaged property. Students may not ride through the campus at any time. Students failing to follow these rules will lose privileges.
ELECTRONICS: Students who have cell phones on campus must keep them off and put away during class, passing periods, and lunch unless otherwise directed by classroom teachers as part of instruction. Although cell phones can be used at school, taking pictures/recording other students or teachers is not permitted. Students may use the phone in the main office at appropriate times during the school day.
Forward Learning laptops are to be brought to school each day, charged and ready for use as directed by each teacher. Students may use their laptops at lunch and during free periods unless otherwise notified. All electronic items brought to school are at the student's and/or family's own risk. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged electronic items. Students are expected to adhere to the guidelines of the Student Device Agreement and the Acceptable Use Policy which can be found at forwardlearning.lvusd.org.
GUM: Possession and chewing of gum is prohibited at all times. Disciplinary action will be taken for continued gum chewing.
LUNCH BOUNDARIES & BEHAVIOR: Students are expected to eat lunch in the lunch area. During rainy weather, the MPR will be opened for students,=. Students are not permitted to go anywhere other than the designated eating areas until the passing bell rings. Students going to a classroom must have a pass leaving the lunch area. Students may use the athletic fields during lunchtime only when permitted and when supervision is present. Food, snacks, or beverages are not permitted on the field. In any ball or equipment goes over a fence into a neighboring yard, students should not go to retrieve the item, but need to report the incident to their teacher or the supervisor. Neighboring fences are off limits at all times.
LOST AND FOUND: The Lost and Found is located in our Counseling Office. Students are encouraged to look for lost items on a regular basis. Unclaimed items are donated at the end of every quarter.
SELLING ON CAMPUS: Students are never allowed to sell anything on campus at any time. Items being sold will be confiscated.
